More Information About GhanaHardtHaven Childrens Home and local office are physically located at KGS-A/350 (Adjacent to the Kpando Sports Stadium) in Kpando, Volta Region, Ghana. The corporate office is at 6127 S. Spotted Rd Spokane, WA 99224 USA.
HardtHaven Childrens Home is located in the Sub-Region of Western Africa in Ghana - a quickly developing country. By being located here the children and this program have the chance to not only survive but to make the world a better place.
The orphanage is situated in an 8-bedroom residential home made up of two buildings- one with 6 rooms, and one with 2. There are 2 washrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. A fence surrounds both buildings with a large free area inside for play. One room is used as a storeroom, one as an office, one is a sick room (due to the fact that we have HIV+ kids), and one for volunteers.
The building is plumbed for running water and has electricity. HardtHaven has a phone line and the home is wired for Internet access. We are also installing a polytank (water reservoir) in case of an interruption in the water supply. HardtHaven tentatively plans to also install solar panels to make the house independent from the unreliable local electricity supply. Standard ceiling fans have been installed in each room. Screens cover all windows and screen doors have been installed into the outer doorways. The home is situated away from the main road but has a good dirt road that leads to it.
The orphanage does not have official business hours but will be open upon reasonable request 24 hours a day. The corporate office in Washington State, USA is available for phone calls every day from 10AM - 8PM Pacific Time.
